Paramount+ announced that it was premiering its first episode of the TV series Halo on YouTube for free, but that isn't the only free content on YouTube. Not to be confused with YouTube TV which costs roughly $65 a month, YouTube's free movies and TV shows library include a few ads in-between the movie. While YouTube's library of free movies doesn't prize itself for showing the latest movies, there are a few movies still worth watching or re-watching.

Get the whole family in the holiday spirit with these G rated (or not-rated) movies. This portion of the list is perfect for young kids or even adults that love the nostalgia of some of the old holiday classic movies we watched when we were kids.

There are SO many Hallmark movies to love this time of year. During the Christmas season, we often will just have a Hallmark movie on in the background while we are doing things around the house. The perfect time to write out your Christmas wish list!

The importance of family during Christmas celebrations can't be emphasized enough. There's nothing like snuggling up with your loved ones and watching Christmas movies. It's the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit!

The free tier limits how much you can watch. For example, Peacock offers only select episodes of its originals free, withholding the rest inside its paywall. Free accounts can watch one episode of Yellowstone and the first two seasons of The Office, but no more. And though many movies are available on this free tier, some of the most high-profile and newest ones are blocked unless you upgrade. This limited free tier has access to roughly two-thirds of Peacock's total catalog of movies, current season TV, TV classics, curated daily news, sports, Hispanic programming and curated channels.

Our low-cost membership program expands the free content to include animated songs, mathematics, and reading activities spanning K-3. Membership also supports the production of new books, songs, educational games, and movies.

A Disney Plus free trial in 2023 could really make a big difference with so many top streaming services out there. Just having the ability to test out what movies and TV shows are on offer before committing to a platform would be useful for both convenience and monetary purposes.
